    • How do I know if my switchboard needs upgrading?

      Common signs include ceramic fuses instead of circuit breakers, no safety switches (RCDs), breakers that trip often, scorch marks or a burning smell, flickering lights, or a board that has run out of space for new circuits.     • How long will the building be without power?

      It depends on the size and complexity of the switchboard. We confirm the expected outage at the quoting stage and plan the shutdown with you, including after-hours or weekend work where needed, so tenants, residents and operations are disrupted as little as possible.

    • How much does a switchboard upgrade cost?

      Costs vary with the size of the board, the number of circuits, whether the mains or metering need to change, and access. A simple residential board costs far less than a commercial main switchboard. After a free on-site inspection we provide a fixed, itemised quote with no surprises.

    • Do you handle Energex and metering requirements?

      Yes. Upgrades in South East Queensland often need Energex approval, metering changes or a supply upgrade. We prepare the paperwork, coordinate the disconnection and reconnection, and liaise with your energy retailer so you don’t have to.

    • Are your electricians licensed and insured?

      Yes. All work is carried out by Queensland-licensed electrical contractors, is fully insured, and is tested and certified to AS/NZS 3000 before we hand over.
