Build and approvals – the board is built to our specification by a switchboard builder (typically 3–5 months for large boards) while we handle Energex, retailer and shutdown planning.
Installation and commissioning – installation, termination, labelling, testing of every circuit and a Certificate of Testing and Safety.

No. Switchboard Solutions is a licensed electrical contractor, not a switchboard manufacturer. We upgrade, replace and install switchboards on site for commercial buildings, body corporates and industrial sites. When a project needs a custom board, we specify it, have it built by a specialist switchboard builder, and install and commission it ourselves. We don’t offer build-only or supply-only boards, or quote on fabricating boards from other contractors’ plans.
Large custom-built boards usually take 3–5 months from approval, mainly build time. Smaller boards we can source immediately take 2–4 weeks.
Boards are specified to AS/NZS 61439 and installed to AS/NZS 3000 and the Queensland Electricity Connection and Metering Manual.
