A switchboard manufacturer (also called a switchboard builder or fabricator) builds the board itself in a workshop, usually from drawings supplied by an electrical engineer or contractor. The finished board is then delivered to site for someone else to install. Manufacturers don’t connect the board to your building’s supply, deal with Energex or certify the installation.
A switchboard installer is a licensed electrical contractor who works on site. That’s what Switchboard Solutions does, every day, for body corporates, commercial buildings, factories and warehouses across South East Queensland. Our work is done to AS/NZS 3000 (the Wiring Rules) and the Queensland Electricity Connection and Metering Manual.
