    • Do you manufacture switchboards?

      No, we don’t build or manufacture switchboards. We specialise in the upgrade, installation, and optimisation of commercial and industrial switchboards across South East Queensland.

    • How long does it take to upgrade a main switchboard?

      For smaller switchboards that we can source immediately, the turnaround time is usually 2-4 weeks. For larger, customised switchboards, the process usually takes 3-5 months, since the switchboard needs to be built first before the installation.

    • Do you need access to the whole building during the upgrade?

      Yes, we need access to anywhere there is an electrical point in the building so we can complete mandatory testing. If we can’t get access to an area, it will remain de-energised until we can complete testing there.

    • How long will the building be without power?

      That largely depends on the size and complexity of the switchboard upgrade. However, we will fully inform you of the duration of the proposed power outage at the quoting stage.

    • Does the new switchboard meet all the relevant standards?

      By law, the installation must be brought up to the current Queensland Electricity Metering & Connection standards when you upgrade your system.

    • Are there any additional fees over and above the price provided?

      We account for most of the fees within our price. At times, we give an estimate for certain aspects of a job if a firm price cannot be finalised during the quoting stage. These can be fees from an electricity retailer, services locator, building works (if required), fault finding, etc. Our extensive experience means you will get as close to a fixed price as possible for the job.

    • Who organises access for an electrical switchboard upgrade?

      Usually a building manager, committee member, property manager or body corporate manager. We work closely with the relevant contacts to ensure ease of access on the day/s of the installation.

    • Can the upgrade be completed outside of normal business hours?

      Yes, we work with you to schedule a suitable time for the upgrade.
